The realm of the quantum is baffling and endlessly fascinating. My hope for this site is to evoke the strange, ultimately unknowable fuzziness that quantum theory shows us governs the fundamental nature of reality, through my quirky, abstract artwork. Making these weird little and not so little things, and even making a dilettante’s study of the wonders of QED, cosmogony and the like, can be an effective therapy for me. Not saying these paintings are “meaningful” to anyone but me. The elementary particles themselves are not real, after all; in the words of Werner Heisenberg, Mr. Uncertainty himself: they form a world of potentialities or possibilities rather than one of things or facts. I hope wandering this site evokes potentialities or possibilities of one kind or another for you.
